Bones support the body. Muscles contract. and joints bend at particular direction.

Muscles are of two types. Skeletal muscles are attached to bones. Bones are rigid structures. When muscles contract bones supports the body and limbs. Joints on the other hand bend at given direction. The entire system works with coordination. Bending contraction and support works together. Lift a hand at elbow you can see how it works.
