How do plate tectonics relate to volcanoes on other planets?

I think the volcanoes on the other planets occurs above the large magma chambers,but not along the plate boundaries.Hence they are not linked to plate tectonics....

Explanation:

We know and the science have proved that volcanoes also occur on other planets including Jupiter,Saturn's ice volcanoes, mars and mercury etc.

But since Astronauts have never been to other planets[except Mars] so we are not sure about this....But other planets presently don't show the crustal structures similar to the Earth.
