How do root hair cells helps a plant?

1 Answer

The root hairs help in the absorption of sap from soil.

Explanation:

The root hairs are found at the lower portion of the roots. The unicellular root hairs are the extension of the outer layer of root or epiblema. These root hairs absorb sap or water with dissolved minerals and salts from the soil, which enter to the vascular bundle though the cortical region. Through the vascular bundles of root, the absorbed sap is trans located to the shoot system. Thank you
