As Ernest wrote, $H C l$ will not result from the reaction. While the reaction product would be exceedingly difficult to characterize, an $I r {\left(O H\right)}_{3}$ species would probably precipitate to give a hydrous oxide of $I r \left(I I I\right)$:
$I {r}^{3 +} + 3 H {O}^{-} \rightarrow 2 I r {\left(O H\right)}_{3} \rightarrow I {r}_{2} {O}_{3} + 3 {H}_{2} O$
