# How do you calculate the area of a triangle without a right angle?

Assume, three sides are given - $a$, $b$ and $c$.
Then the Heron's formula gives the area:
$S = \sqrt{p \left(p - a\right) \left(p - b\right) \left(p - c\right)}$
where $p$ is half a perimeter
$p = \frac{a + b + c}{2}$
