-.8

Explanation:

Do long division

How many times does 5 go into 4?

Change 4 to 4.0, then divide 4.0 by 5

Make it negative at the end

Sometimes, to make it easier I multiply 4.0 by 10/10
Then I get the fraction (40/10)/5 which can be changed to
40/5 x 1/10

40/5 is more simply, and is equal to 8
8/10 = .8
I ignored the negative until the end, since there was no addition it doesn't make a difference
