# How do you divide 2x^2+5x–12÷2x^2 – 7x + 6?

I tried factoring the numerator and denominator toget:
$2 {x}^{2} + 5 x - 12 = \left(x + 4\right) \left(2 x - 3\right)$
$2 {x}^{2} - 7 x + 6 = \left(2 x - 3\right) \left(x - 2\right)$
So you get:
$\frac{2 {x}^{2} + 5 x - 12}{2 {x}^{2} - 7 x + 6} = \frac{\left(x + 4\right) \left(2 x - 3\right)}{\left(2 x - 3\right) \left(x - 2\right)} =$
Simplifying:
$= \frac{x + 4}{x - 2}$
