You need to evaluate:
$1/3-:2=$
that is the same as:
$(1/3)/(2)=(1/3)/(2/1)=(1/3)xx(1/2)=1/6$

You may also think of taking half of $1/3$ as in:

TO divide a value by $2$ is exactly the same as finding half of it.

For example:

$10 div 2 = 5$ which is the same as $1/2 xx 10 = 5$

$1/3 div 2 = 1/3 xx 1/2 = 1/6$

You can also treat $1/3 " as " 2/6$

$2/6 div 2 = 1/6$
