How do you factor the expression #6x^2 + x = 5#?

So if you have the equation and you still want to factor it, you need to bring all of the terms to one side #6x^2+x-5=0#

The left side can now be factored into
#( x +1)(6x-1)#= 0

The nice thing about the factored form of this equation is that you now can spot the roots or the solutions to the equation. There are two solutions.
