Explanation:

#x^2-8x+15# is in the form #ax^2+bx+c#

where #ax^2 +(sum of roots)x+ (product of roots)#
ie you need to find TWO numbers that when added equals to 8 as well as when multiplied, equals to 15

so the two numbers are 3 and 5

Hence, (x-3)(x-5) which when expanded out equals to
#x^2-8x+15#
