#### Explanation:

Finding $\frac{1}{10}$ of a number is the same as dividing it by $10$.

To find a tenth of something simply multiply it by $\frac{1}{10}$ and then simplify, and that will be a tenth of it:

• What is $\frac{1}{10}$ of $20$?

I can put $20$ over $1$, since anything divided by $1$ is itself. So let's do that to multiply:

$\frac{1}{10} \cdot \frac{20}{1} \rightarrow \frac{20}{10} \rightarrow 2$

• What is $\frac{1}{10}$ of $45$?

$\frac{1}{10} \cdot \frac{45}{1} \rightarrow \frac{45}{10} \rightarrow 4.5$

So as you can see, all you have to do is divide the number by 10 and you've found one tenth of it.
