Equation of a line joining two points #(x_1,y_1)# and #(x_2,y_2)# is given by

#(y-y_1)/(y_2-y_1)=(x-x_1)/(x_2-x_1)#

Hence equation of line joining #(1,3)# and #(2,4)# is

#(y-3)/(4-3)=(x-1)/2-1)# or
