Common ratio is $2$ .

In a geometric sequence common ratio is the ratio between a term and its preceding term and is always constant.

Here $6/3=2$ for first term and for further terms in the sequence too

$12/6=2$ and $24/12=2$ .

Hence common ratio is $2$ .

Note - In arithmetic sequence, we have common difference.
