Imagine the numbers #83# and #27#.

#83/100=0.83=83%#

#27/100=0.27=27%#

#Δ%=83%-27%=56%#

Explanation:

We can take two integers and turn them into decimals to get the percentage. From there, we can take the difference of two chosen percentages by minusing the smaller one on the large one.

I have used the Greek letter #Δ# (Delta) here to show difference. So by using #Δ%#, I am trying to say "Change in percentage".
