How do you find the domain and range of #F (X) = sqrt(x-3) #?

Domain is : #<3;+oo)#
Range: #<0;+oo)#


To find the domain you have to chech for which number all the operations in function formula are defined. In this case the limit is that: #x-3>=0# because you cannot calculate the square root of a negative number (it exists but is not a real number).

To calculate the range you have to think if there are values that the function does not take. In this case there is a square root which means, that the values willl never be negative, but all positive values are possible.
