The line is vertical and the slope is undefined.

#x = -7# is the equation of a vertical line. It cannot be written in standard form.

The slope of a vertical line is undefined, because we end up trying to divide by 0.

#m= ("vertical change")/("horizontal change") = y/0#

BUt in a vertical line, there is NO horizontal (x) change.

The slope is undefined.
