# How do you find the x and y intercepts for x=4?

Feb 16, 2016

The x-intercept is $4$
The x-intercept is the value on the X-axis where the equation crosses the X-axis (i.e. the value of $x$ when $y = 0$);
$x = 4$ crosses the X-axis at $4$.
The equation $x = 4$ is a vertical line which does not cross the Y-axis and therefore there is no y-intercept.
