You have to let one be 0

Explanation:

To do find the intercept you have to let one of them = 0 and do algebra

For the X intercept let y = 0
For the Y intercept let X = 0

X Intercept

#2x+5y-10=0#
#2x+5(0)-10=0#
#2x-10+10=0+10#
#2x# #/2=10/2#
#x = 5#

Do the same for y and you are done!
