$y = - 2 \tan \left(\frac{x}{2}\right) , \frac{x}{2} \ne \left(2 k + 1\right) \frac{\pi}{2}$

$\Rightarrow$ asymptotic$x \ne \left(2 k + 1\right) \pi ,$

$k = 0 , \pm 1 , \pm 2 , \pm 3 , \ldots$

Period$= \frac{\pi}{\frac{1}{2}} = 2 \pi$
