# How do you graph the linear equation, y=2x+7?

## Please tell me every step because I don't know how to do this stuff.

Graph down below:

#### Explanation:

Use $Y = m x + C$ or $Y = m x + B$ where;

$Y$ is the $y$ coordinate, $m$ is the gradient and $c$ is the $y$ intercept.

Multiply $2$ by the $x$ value, then plus $7$ to the answer to get the $y$ value for the certain $x$ coordinate. For example...

for $x = 2$

$y = \left(2 \times 2\right) + 7 = 4 + 7 = 11$

We get color(red)( (2,11)

Do this for around 5 values, with some negative and positive:

Now connecting these points, gets a line:
