$\frac{3 {x}^{2} - 3}{6 x - 6} = \frac{3 \left({x}^{2} - 1\right)}{6 \left(x - 1\right)}$

$= \frac{3 \left(x - 1\right) \left(x + 1\right)}{3 \left(x - 1\right) \cdot 2}$

$= \frac{x + 1}{2}$

with restriction $x \ne 1$
