${5}^{\textcolor{red}{- 3}} = \frac{1}{5} ^ \textcolor{red}{- - 3} = \frac{1}{5} ^ \textcolor{red}{3} = \frac{1}{5 \times 5 \times 5} = \frac{1}{125} = 0.008$
