$7 - 4 + 3 \times 0 + 1 \to 7 - 4 + \left(3 \times 0\right) + 1 \to 7 - 4 + 0 + 1$

Now, we do the addition and subtraction (AS) (from left to right):

$\left(7 - 4\right) + 0 + 1 \to \left(3 + 0\right) + 1 \to 3 + 1 = 4$
