Explanation:

The bracket in this format is 'multiply' and ${c}^{- 2} \text{ is } \frac{1}{{c}^{2}}$

So what we have is: ${c}^{3} \times {d}^{2} \times \frac{1}{{c}^{2}} \times {d}^{4}$

$\frac{{c}^{3}}{{c}^{2}} \times {d}^{2} \times {d}^{4}$

${c}^{3 - 2} \times {d}^{2 + 4}$

$c {d}^{6}$
