Okay so #\frac { 7a } { 7a ^ { 4} }# means

#(7 * a)/(7 * a * a * a * a)#

When expanding you see the bigger picture, now remember after this we cancel stuff out to make it easier to understand

For example take #\frac { 24 } { 4 }#. On a test would you multiply #\frac { 24 } { 4 }# or #6#. Which one is easier? Same goes with this!
