We need to rationalize the denominator.

#=(sqrt(y) + sqrt(x))/(sqrt(y) - sqrt(x)) xx (sqrt(y) + sqrt(x))/(sqrt(y) + sqrt(x))#

#=(y + sqrt(xy) + sqrt(xy) + x)/(y - x)#

#=(y + x + 2sqrt(xy))/(y - x)#
