# How do you simplify (x^2-x-6)/(x^2+8x+16)?

the answer is $\frac{\left(x - 3\right) \left(x + 2\right)}{\left(x + 4\right) \left(x + 4\right)}$
the top equation factors and you have $- 3 , 2$ that equal $- 6$ and adds up to $- 1 \mathmr{and} - x$ the bottom is easier b/c you can just see. it gives you $4 , 4$ there isn't any factor similar so you can't cancel anything out so you just leave it alone.
