Explanation:

Whenever I see an equation with a fraction, I like to get rid of it. You can do that in this case by multiplying by #5# (don't forget to do it at the right side):
#5*18-\cancel(5) * 2/\cancel(5) m=5*(-2)#
#90-2m=-10#
Now we can bring the 90 over to seperate the #m#:
#\cancel(90-90)-2m=-10-90#
#-2m=-100#
Now, all we need to do is divide by #-2#
#\cancel(-2)m/\cancel(-2)=-100/-2#
#m=50#
