# How do you solve (3x)/5+2=5.6?

Feb 26, 2017

I got $x = 6$
I would first multiply both sides by $10$:
$10 \cdot \left(\frac{3 x}{5} + 2\right) = 10 \cdot 5.6$
$6 x + 20 = 56$
$6 x = 56 - 20$
$x = \frac{36}{6} = 6$
