We solve this by doing distribution.

#5(-6-3d)=3(8+7d)#

This means that we "distribute" the #5# to everything in the parenthesis and "distribute" the #3# to everything to its parenthesis:

#-30-15d=24+21d#

Now we need to put all the variables on one side and the numbers on the other side of the equation:
