#sqrt(x-8)+sqrt(x+7)=5#

#hArrsqrt(x-8)=5-sqrt(x+7)# and squaring each side, we get

#x-8=25+x+7-10sqrt(x+7)#

or #10sqrt(x+7)=40#

or #sqrt(x+7)=4# and again squaring

#x+7=16#

i.e. #x=16-7=9#
