Take equations (1) and (3). Add (1) and (3)

4y - 5y + 1 = 0 -----------(1)
- 4y + 6x - 2 = 0 -------(3)

$$    x -1 = 0
x = 1


Substitute (x = 1 ) in
4y = 5x - 1
4y = 5(1) -1 = 5 - 1 = 4
y = $\frac{4}{4}$ = 1
