3x+2y=6
x+2y= -6/ (-1)

We times the second equation by -1 in order to get 2y and -2y.

3x+2y=6
-x-2y= 6

Then we add two equations together:

3x+2y-x-2y=6+6
3x-x=12
2x=12/:2
x=6

Then we put x in the second equation to calculate y:
6+2y= -6
2y= -6-6
2y= -12/:2
y= -6
