x=1, y=3x=1,y=3

Explanation:

Solving by substitution :

Substituting xx from equation 22 in equation 11:

x+3y=10x+3y=10

5y- 5=105y5=10

5y=10 +55y=10+5

y=15/5y=155

y=3y=3

Substituting yy in equation 11 to find xx
x+3y=10x+3y=10

x+3 xx 3=10x+3×3=10

x=10- 9x=109
