Multiply each term within the parenthesis by the term outside the parenthesis:

$\textcolor{red}{- 6} \left(x - 5\right) \implies \left(\textcolor{red}{- 6} \times x\right) + \left(\textcolor{red}{- 6} \times - 5\right) \implies - 6 x + 30$
