#5x - 8y = -40#

Explanation:

First solve slope:

#m = (color(red)(y_2) - color(blue)(y_1))/(color(red)(x_2) - color(blue)(x_1))#

#m = (color(red)(6) - color(blue)(1))/(color(red)(3) - color(blue)((-5)))#

#m = 5/8#

Now lets put the line in point slope form, we can use either point:

#y-y_1 =m(x-x_1)#

#y-6 =5/8(x-3)#

#y-6 =5/8x-15/8#

for standard form we can't have any fractions so multiply by 8 to remove them:

#8(y-6) =8(5/8x-15/8)#

#8y - 48 = 5x-8#

#-5x + 8y = 40#

#5x - 8y = -40#
