You may take the ${\log}_{e}$ or $\ln$ on both sides.

#### Explanation:

$\ln {e}^{3} = \ln 20.08$

Since any power may be placed before the log-function as a multiplication, we get:
$3 \ln e = \ln 20.08$

And since $\ln e = 1$:
$3 = \ln 20.08$

Which checks out on my calculator (with a bit of rounding, actually ${e}^{3} = 20.0855 \ldots$ so $20.09$ would have been a better number.
