Explanation:

In facilitated one, ions (for example) diffuse through special channels. Let's consider neuron membrane. There we have mostly potassium and sodium channels through which the ions diffuse. Otherwise it would not be possible for them to diffuse.

In simple diffusion no channels take part. Substances just diffuse through membrane.
