How does texting affect punctuation?

The writing becomes slang and informal. It is almost unacceptable in business works.

Explanation:

With texting, people ignore/ditch the formal writing style. Thus, we not only use slang, but we become lazy in performing the proper punctuation.

For example, commas may be ignored, periods are often unused at the end of a sentence (just before sending the text).

You can find these examples all over your social media platform and message board.

In fact, it is because of this trend that most students dislike English courses in school; because they are now unfamiliar with formal writing.

Grammar and spelling is a whole entire issue that is equally subjected to the same problem that punctuation is.

Hope this helps :)
