The apparent age of the earth allows for the time-frames required hypothesized evolutionary processes.

“Age” itself does not support the theory of evolution. While a very short time-frame of existence might refute evolutionary theories by eliminating a necessary factor, the existence of a longer time-frame does not provide any particular support either. Having one of the conditions necessary for an event does not make the event inevitable.
