# How is a Celsius temperature reading converted to a Kelvin temperature?

Jul 10, 2016

For example, say if a block of ice has a temperature of $- {22.6}^{o} C$. To find the temperature in Kelvins, you would simply add $- {22.6}^{o} C$ to 273 to obtain 250.4K.
$K = - {22.6}^{o} C + 273 = 250.4$
