Electro magnetic radiation comes from stars and Galaxies in different wave lengths from Gama rays to radio waves.

Explanation:

Astronomers use telescopes of all kind.They include telescopes that work on visible light, infra red, UV rays and Radio waves on surface of earth
Space telescopes are used to study universe through Gama rays, X rays and other parts of UV, infra red as these waves are booked by Earth's atmosphere.
