The formula #H=v/d# can be used.


The Hubble Constant can be used to determine the size and age of the universe, and the rate at which the universe is expanding.

Finding a true value for the Hubble Constant is complicated.

Two measurements are necessary.

  1. Spectroscopic Observations : indicate galaxy's radial velocity [v]
  2. Galaxy's Distance From Earth [d]

Then, the following formula is used.


The units of the calculation are kilometers per second per megaparsec.
