How is Hubble's Constant calculated?
The Hubble Constant can be used to determine the size and age of the universe, and the rate at which the universe is expanding.
Finding a true value for the Hubble Constant is complicated.
Two measurements are necessary.
- Spectroscopic Observations : indicate galaxy's radial velocity [v]
- Galaxy's Distance From Earth [d]
Then, the following formula is used.
The units of the calculation are kilometers per second per megaparsec.
