New horizons space craft launched on January 19---2006 reached the vicinity of Pluto on 14 th July 2015. about 9myears.

Explanation:

THis probe had the highest ever launch velocity of 16.2 kilometer/second..On the way by using gravity of Jupiter it gained additional velocity of 4 kilometer by sling shot effect.
.It took about 9 years for New horizons.This was due to the best launch window for a Pluto craft...
