How many fundamental forces are there in nature at the present time under normal conditions?
There are four fundamental forces (or interactions):
1. Strong Nuclear Force, 2. Weak Nuclear Force, 3. Electromagnetic Force and 4. Gravitational Force.
Nuclear forces are only experienced in atomic nuclei.
In greater scales the Electromagnetic and Gravitational forces are all we need to explain everyday phenomena. However, in an even greater scale, is the always attractive gravitational force that rules the evolution of the Universe.
