Sun is about 27 K ly from the center pf our galaxy. The galaxy is supposed to have a diameter of 100-180 K ly.

Perhaps, the finding of the farthest star in our galaxy is not compatible with the others.

A MON AVIS: It is not known whether what was observed is a star or a star cluster or a satellite galaxy. I am aware that, with about 0.001 '' precision, it is hard to be meticulous. in making statements, from observations.. . ..

WE are 28 000 light years from center of milky way.
