As according to first equation, #5x-2y# is equal to #2#

and according to other equation, #5x-2y# is equal to #-1#

But we cannot have #2=-1#

Hence no solution is possible for the system of equations #5x-2y=2# and #5x-2y=-1#.

On a Cartesian plane if we draw such equations they represent two parallel lines and as they do not intersect, there is no solution.
