# How to use slope to find parallel lines?

Consider that two parallel lines have the same slope. So for example the two lines:
$y = 15 x - 34$
$y = 15 x + 23$
are parallel because they both have the same slope $15$. The slope representes the rate of change of your function or the inclination of the line represented by tour function. Two lines with the same inclination must also be parallel.

Hope it helps!
