Extensive physical properties are dependent on the amount of substance present; intensive physical properties are not.
Explanation:
Extensive physical properties are things like volume, mass, internal energy.
For example, volume varies according to how much substance you have present - the volume of 2 kg of iron is going to be greater than the volume of 0.5 kg of iron.
Intensive physical properties are such things as density, colour, hardness. The colour of copper sulphate crystals is blue, it doesn't matter how much substance is present. The density of 2 kg of iron, or the density of 1 kg of iron....it will be the same value.
