I'm looking for case studies of farming in different countries. What are some interesting ones I could focus on?
Perhaps rice in Asia, grain in North America and flowers in Kenya?
Rice crops in S.E. Asia are mostly grown by hand and hasn't changed much in 1000 years or more. Grain farming in North America has become highly mechanized and also highly dependent on fossil fuels. Growing flowers is a relatively new crop for Kenya and they ship them on a plane to flower markets in Europe the same day I think.
